Woot! 3 posts in a row today! I’m on a roll, lol. Making this “rest day” a productive one! :) This is another backlog outfit post shot at Maryland.

From Maryland we drove to Annapolis, a pretty place with vintage shops and a pier. I was supposed to take my photos there but it was crazy cold and the wind was wild, so I had to settle with these photos I took before we left. So please bear with these few photos (*Sigh* Oh well.)

Burgundy has always been one of the colors I’ve been forever in love with (as you can see from my new blog layout colors). It’s a bold color that’s easily chic and classy. Instead of pairing these leggings with neutrals, I paired it with bright yellow sandals. Contrasting, but I think it worked!

Love the unique style and flow of this top! Not to mention, its fabric is silky smoooooth.

I’m currently obsessing/listening to the amazing music of Daft Punk. If you haven’t listened to them yet, try listening to one of their popular songs now, “Get Lucky”! <3 Anyways, here’s another outfit backlog, which I wore on a sunny day in Vegas.

Vegas is a desert, making the weather there really hot. Although, it’s not the type where you sweat because of its low humidity. Manila heat is still a different story (ibang klase talaga! haha). I seized this opportunity to wear clothes that I packed that suit the weather there, because I knew the next places we would be going to would be extremely cold.

I’m starting to become a fan of sleeveless cropped tops because of the intense heat in Manila. So I was happy to get this one in the mail! Can’t wait to get them in other colors too! <3

Goodbye Manila

Hellooo! Sorry I haven’t been blogging regularly, been doing tourist things here and there. Blogging from Florida now! Anyways, this is what I wore on the plane to the States. I made sure to wear something comfortable since it was going to be a long long ride.

Most of the time when I travel long distances, I almost always wear leggings (for the cold and comfort). I tried to channel my inner K-pop girl group member by matching it with this sweater and kicks! Hope I pulled it off! Lol.

This backpack came right in time before my trip! I just had to bring it with me. The size was perfect, not too big and bulky and not too small either. I was able to fit everything I needed for my trip so I didn’t need another bag. Definitely made my life easier! The quality is superb too, as it’s made of Cordura fabric, which makes it very durable. Can’t wait to use this for school too! For students like myself, if you need a new backpack for the coming school year, try out Outdoor Products! Not only is it made of good quality but there are so many cute and fashionable designs to choose from, like this one! Don’t you just love the cute heart print? Although I’m not too much of a fan of hot pink, I couldn’t resist this! <3

Just One Yesterday

I’ve recently fell in love Fall Out Boy’s new album (Yes, they’re back! If you didn’t know yet, lol). I’m not a die hard fan but I’ve always loved a lot of their songs. Their new album is so good & awesome!! I love EVERY song on their album. If you haven’t listened to it yet, try listening to Just One Yesterday, actually just listen to the whole album!! lol.

This is the outfit I wore before Close Up Summer Solstice. I was going to go Ice Skating so I made sure to wear pants (cold + no bruises, lol). I also wore a sleeveless top, since I didn’t want to die of heat either (Is it still hot there in Manila??)

Minimal accessories since the collar is pretty busy.

One of the #yolo things on my 2013 bucket list is to attend a concert! I don’t even remember the last time I’ve been to one! I’m lucky enough that the CLOSE UP SUMMER SOLSTICE is happening exactly a day before I leave for the States! It definitely looks so fuuun with all the amazing artists! Imagine 12 hours of non-stop music and 12 hours of long-lasting fresh breath!

After more than a month of blogging hiatus (which I would like to apologize for no notice), I AM BACK! My 2nd sem of college was totally academically heavy as compared to my previous sem, so I was left with no choice but to prioritize my studies over my blog. Not to mention, I suffered from not one but TWO tragic losses of ALL my files on my laptop (which is still not yet fixed) and now I am pretty much traumatized for life and backing up everything (OA I know, but you won’t understand me until it actually happens to you TWICE). Just wanted to say too that I appreciate all those who tweeted me over the hiatus about my blog, you are all mainly the reason why I keep coming back and pushing myself to keep this blog going even if it is not easy with all my other responsibilities.

So yes, my blog is finally back up & as you can see finally with a NEW layout too! I felt like it was about time to retire from my girly and cutesy pastel look of my previous layout (not that I don’t like cute stuff anymore!) and grow up into something more neat, sophisticated, simple and chic (which is my pretty much my style now). Let me know what you think of my new layout! I would really love to hear what you think! Hope you like it as much as I do! <3

From casual to chic with a LBD

The Christmas season may be (sadly) over, but not so the party season. What with January parties to stave off the post-Christmas mid-winter angst, there are still a host of opportunities to deploy some elegance. If you feel that jewel-bright cocktail dresses and dazzlingly printed maxis leave you cold, opt instead for a classic Little Black Dress, and work the current trends by focusing on hair and make-up. Metallics and sparkle return to winter catwalks every year and always move onto the high street. A gold or sequined dress is not the only way to sparkle with this trend though, and an equally seasonal but more subtle look can be achieved by heading to the beauty counter. Keep lips natural and add drama to your eyes with metallic shadow. Choosing a single colour can be tricky, so go for a palette like Givenchy’s Le Prisme Yeux Mono and combine the matte and glittery tones for iridescent peepers. With made-up eyes, keep your skin pared-down though still party ready with a subtle bronzer. Avoid those with heavy pigments and apply with a large rounded brush for a more natural look; try the softly shining effect from Bobbi Brown’s Shimmer Brick Compact. Top off your metallic style with hair accessories. A simple hairstyle like a loose plait or tousled bun can be made evening-ready with a gold or bronze coloured headband. Choose a plain band in a bright colour, or try a jewelled number to add cute sparkle to your ‘do. Headbands can feel uncomfortable for some, so try loosely curling hair, applying a texturising salt spray and pinning strands back with jewelled hair slides. The trick to party success is matching style with endurance. Hair accessories and simple make-up additions are ideal because whether you’re sitting, standing, jumping into a cab to head to the next bar or camped outside having a conversation, the look can be easily touched up or modified in quick bathroom breaks – giving you the confidence to party until late.

I got a certain question on Tumblr Ask today. I couldn’t help but want to answer it. Since I don’t answer questions on Tumblr Ask anymore (you can just tweet me!), I’ll just say a few words here.

Never allow your circumstances limit what you can do and be. You make your life.

I don’t have a perfect life but that’s how life really is. It’s not perfect and that’s what makes it beautiful and interesting. You just have to make do of what you have and be the best you can be. Everything happens for a reason. Good things fall apart so better things can come together. And I’m actually thankful for all the bad things that happened in my life because I wouldn’t have gotten to where I am and be who I am today if it weren’t for those bad experiences. I might not have “the perfect life” but I am happy and content where I am right now. And that’s all that matters. :)

Wooh, pretty personal! But I said I would be sharing more personal stuff this new year right? It’s a blog after all! :)
