#MaphieTravels Korea: Day One - II

Ewha is one of the university spots in Korea, where Ewha Womens University is located. Last time I was here, I didn’t get the chance to really see the whole place because of time constraints. After exploring almost every corner in this trip, I can’t believe I missed all of this!

This is the road that leads to the campus, which is pretty much open to anyone.

We were both in awe when we saw this. Can you believe this is their library? I think I would loove studying if our lib was this cool. Ok fine, maybe. But still, isn’t it amazinggg?

Can I pass for a student here? Lol.

We went deeper into the place and the whole scene reminded me of Hogwarts for some reason.

Ewha is also another known shopping district. For clothes shopping, I would recommend this as the best and cheapest place. Relatively, everything is much cheaper here actually, including food. I’m guessing since it caters to the student market.

Fruit Shake (₩2,000)

Along the way back, we started to get hungry and thirsty so we got some refreshing watermelon shakes at one of the fruit stands. Yummy!

I’ve always wanted to try street food in Korea, since it is one of the top tourist suggestions of things to do/try. We found a road with a long line of different street food stalls, but this particular one was the most tempting.

Chicken Barbeque (₩2,000)

This has to be the BEST BBQ EVER that I’ve eaten in my life. The meat was tender and chewy. The sauce was so spicy and distinct yet addicting. The serving was generous. And it was literally fresh off the grill. THIS IS A MUST-TRY.

Right in front of the stalls was a park that seemed to be filled with couples. Can you recognize the guy singing in the photo? He’s the same one from my first post! Even if we couldn’t understand what he was singing, you could tell that he had a really good voice. His last song (before a guard asked him to leave </3) was Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran (those who follow me on Snapchat: hellosophiemos would have watched it!) — not bad!

Good food, good music, and the best company. Definitely one of the best yet simple nights I will treasure.
